I haven't drawn anything really creative and completely original for quite a while (it's mostly been fanart) but a few days ago I watched *Isvoc's livestream, and it really inspired me to get my brain into gear again. I may go back and touch parts of this up at a later time.
A very powerful piece both creatively and subject-wise. (Afterall dragons are the most powerful creatures, are they not?) The background's hues of purple and green with so many accents of red and blue and yellow looks amazing, simply beautiful. There are three things I think could be improved, as marvellous as this piece is. First, the lighting. Some purple highlights on the belly from the space cloud would add to connecting the background to the subject. Also, the lighting is unclear. As the only light source visible in the piece is the stars he is chasing, making them a more prominent light source would help give better contrast to the dragon's lighting and better place the shooting stars in the scene. Secondly, the dragon's eye appears to be fixed ahead, not at the star he seems to be reaching out for. I'm not sure if that was the intended effect. ^^ Finally, the placement of his left front paw (not the one reaching out) seems a bit awkward for flight. His claws are spread out as though almost walking.
Overall, this piece is magnificent and beautiful. I love it, great work!
This is a really creative piece. The movement that you create is very successful in taking the eye in a clockwise trip around the piece, well done! I love the dynamic and contrast between the white dragon and the black, menacing cloud-like material.
The only suggestion I'd have is very minor. I'd like to see some of the colors as reflective lighting. Take the purple under the dragon's arm/belly. Seeing a hint of purple reflected on the underside of the dragons arm might help to tie it together a tad.
Overall a stellar piece with great movement - kudos to you and keep up the great work!!
